Costume Design & Technology
Kathleen McBride is a trained costume stitcher, wardrobe technician/dresser, and designer. Throughout the past few years, she has expanded upon her understanding of costume design and the technical and organizational skills that follow:
costume analysis and concept statements; piece lists and costume plots; budget planning and tracking; completing renderings and curating costume lookbooks; historical research and costume sourcing; hand and machine sewing; following commercial and bespoke patterns; repairs and alterations; supervising and working on wardrobe crews; organizing wardrobe stock; costume maintenance and cleaning; stage makeup.
In the future, she hopes to continue finding joy in the process of creating costumes and handling them throughout each production. As she explores different career opportunities, she has been focusing on incorporating her values of artistic expression, meaningful reflection, and intentional community into a wide variety of work and life experiences.
Kathleen is currently based in the high country of North Carolina.
Kathleen will be working as a Stitcher with Berkshire Theatre Group for the summer of 2025,
and will then join Oceania Cruiselines as a Wardrobe Supervisor starting in the fall of 2025!

Mission Statement
“I aim to partake in the act of meaningful creation which prompts thoughtful reflection and inquisition within myself, my loved ones, and my audience. I will make time to share my creations (both within and outside of my career), emotions, and energy with a community that intentionally fosters a culture of listening and generosity.”
P.S. I’m also a sourdough baker! Check out my bread portfolio. :)
